Author Biography

Percy Cerutty was the world renowned coach to Australia's greatest athlete, Herb Elliott, whom he trained to win the gold medal in the 1500 metres at the Rome Olympics in 1960 by a margin that has never been equalled. Percy Cerutty was a man who was far ahead of his time in his thinking on diet and exercise. His ideas were at first derided by the establishment but he was never dismayed or deterred by criticism. His ideas are are relevant today as they were back in the 1960s. His books are worth reading to allow us to strip back to the essentials of life. His philosophies were not based on fads; they were based on the science of exercise and his studies of the human condition.
