As the August temperatures rise, Talia feels as though the heat has been turned up on everyone at Bittersweet Farm. She is being sued by Paul Gish, the horse community is gossiping about her abilities as a teacher, and Lockie wants her ride CB for Mauritz Schenker. A man who threatened Lockie in the past, returns to threaten him again. Cam brings a hot, new horse to the farm. Greer has a very unwanted visit from an old boyfriend with Cam watching.
