by Dazié Grego-Sykes (Author)
Black Faggotry by Dazi Grego-Sykes is a collection of poetry that loudly and proudly exclaims the intersectional realities of Black and Queer identities. These poems burst forth as raw catalysts toward transformational understanding. At times jarringly uncomfortable as truths often are, Grego-Sykes pulls no punches in consistently offering voice to the mutable nature of the QPOC experience.
Dazié Grego-Sykes is an Oakland based performance artist and activist. He is a graduate of The Experimental Performance Institute at New College of California and holds an MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts and Writing from The California Institute of Integral Studies. Currently he writes produces solo plays while working as Associate Artistic Director for San Francisco Tenderloin based performance arts ensemble Skywatchers. His most recent published work includes his debut collection of poetry Black Faggotry and his spoken-word album Make Me Black.
