This development drives her to solve what it was Hugh, an FBI agent, had been investigating, which was a kidnapping that occurred six years prior. Kari is convinced Hugh's investigation is tied to something more sinister and soon finds her life in danger of the same fate as she delves into the mystery. There are twists and turns that leave the audience wondering who is guilty until the final chapter.
