This book is a second edition of Shasta Dam Boomtowns, first published in 1993. This new edition, has a Preface and Introduction written by local history experts. In addition, the book size has been expanded to 8x10 and many new photographs added. The original maps have been redrawn to trace the growth of housing tracts during the formative years of growth in 1938-1940.
