by Roger Chambers (Introduction by), U. S. Sept Of Agriculture (Author)
This special reprint of Bulletin No. 192, 'Breeding Sweet Corn: Co-operative Tests' is another rare and valuable booklet from the vaults of the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture, this time on breeding sweet corn. This book was written by Byron D. Halsted and was the result of his work at the New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Stations. First published in 1906, making it well over 100 years old now, this book covers topics including hybridization, varieties of corn and their characteristics. Note: This edition is a perfect facsimile of the original edition and is not set in a modern typeface. As a result, some type characters and images might suffer from slight imperfections or minor shadows in the page background.
