Not long after a global pandemic swipes across the globe, killing more than 1 billion people, the world is in turmoil. In the United States, an economic depression and public unrest is creating violence across the nation. In a desperate attempt to bring unity and peace to the people of the nation, the government has its top scientists create a portal, known as a "bridge", to communicate with another dimension. Just as things seem to be going to plan, terrorists interfere, unleashing a hellish threat to the world. Man devouring, horrific creatures tear their way across humanity and nobody is safe. The only option is to fight back and end these new threats known as "bridge events".
