by Kimberly Hansing (Author), Kelly Key (Author)

Brimstone is an adventure novel, set in Texas of the 1800's, about a boy's blind devotion to the thing he desires most-a horse of his own. Cody's wishes and wants are so strong and powerful; they are noticed and granted by a long forgotten evil spirit of the Cherokee, an Uktena. This spirit uses the boy's devotion to its advantage to hide its lust for blood and death. Set in the Old West, the story combines raw adventure with American folklore to tell a myth of malevolence, deception and revenge.
