by Brian D. Garner (Author)

Not all churches are alike. Sure, true churches share some core beliefs, and similarities, but they are not all the same. Building The Carpenter's House is the true story of a pastor without options compelled to launch a faith community that would make a difference. It is part biography, part church planting guide, and all real. It shares how with nothing more than an uncompromising devotion to Jesus Christ, a small group of people came together with the grand hope of changing the world. It is about a church that gives itself away because Jesus gave Himself freely. If you are looking for encouragement to launch a new kind of missional faith community, here's the place to start.

Author Biography

Brian Garner is a veteran pastor, serving nearly 15 years in traditional churches. When living His faith got in the way of doing the work, he recognized that it was the work that should change, not the expression of who he was in Christ. Brian currently resides near Reading, Pennsylvania, with his wife and ministry partner Christine, his five sons, their dog, their cockatiel, and assorted fish and lizards. In his spare time, he enjoys writing, drinking coffee, and solving world problems.
