During the 1920's and 1930's many of the Osage people faced perilous times through greed, jealousy and heinous acts; characters claiming to be their friends. The labels or designations next to the names of many in these censuses alone openly show or self-identify the oncoming corruption they faced. They were truly at war with many, even from within. The Osage have proven to be resilient and courageous yet haunted to this day....

The conditions they dealt with can plainly be seen through a short study of the Osage people. They weren't incompetent like the fraudsters wanted so many to believe. They were swamped with sinister perpetrators willing to create and deceive them with unconscionable intentions. This Osage census series contains the Osage Treaty of 1865 original and transcribed; a tribal history and the creation beliefs of the tribe from two separate entities well over a hundred years old. Also you will find the Osage Tribal Constitution from the 1880's showing them as a stable people. All volumes are fully indexed along with a few different recommended resources used while studying the Osage tribe. Great resource authors used for Osage study: George Catlin, 1973 (1844); Philip Dickerson, 1906; Richard Drinnon, 1972; David Grann, 2017;Royal B Hassrick, 1977 & 1994; Marjorie Catlin Roehm, 1966; Francis La Flesche, 1914-1915.
