Author Biography
Cynthia Banks has been teaching successfully for almost 50 years! She has taught at a Teacher's College, and all the grades from Kindergarten to 12th grade. With this wide range of teaching experience, which spans four countries, she feels it is about time someone wrote a book to alleviate the pressure off the teacher, who at times gets blamed for everything. She also believes that teacher's are only human and should be free to plan interesting lessons and to be there to facilitate learning. Ms. Banks believes that the responsibility of learning should rest with the student, who when he is made aware is only too glad to take up the gauntlet knowing he stands to reap the benefits. The key to excellent classroom management should be a cooperative approach, where the goal is to train students to be autonomous. She has four children and one of them is also a teacher. She enjoys her two grandchildren ages ten and seven immensely. Cynthia is a widow and is semi-retired. She lives with her son in sunny Florida.
