Author Biography
Vincent Van Gogh (1853-90) was a junior clerk at an art firm, teacher, bookseller, student and preacher before he decided at the age of 27 to become an artist. That decision would change the history of art forever. He worked as an artist for just ten years but after his death Van Gogh's fame grew to the point that nearly 2 million people visit the Van Gogh Museum each year.
