Author Biography
Tim Purdum teaches K-5 General Music in Waterloo, IA. Tim is a certified teacher-trainer in the Orff Schulwerk process, and a regular clinician at general music workshops across the country. He is a leader of the First Iowa Orff chapter, and has worked on Iowa Core Curriculum writing teams for K-8 Music and K-8 Technology. Tim is certified in Early/Middle Childhood Music by the National Board of Professional Teaching Standards. He holds a Bachelors of Music Education from Baldwin-Wallace College and a masters of music in composition from Longy School of Music. Tim has studied Dalcroze-Eurhythmics and Orff Schulwerk in Cambridge MA, Cleveland, St. Paul MN, and San Francisco. Tim lives in Cedar Falls, IA.
