by Danny Griffin (Author)
The pain of marriage is a reality that I dealt with often over fifty years of counseling. There were three areas that seemed to afflict more pain than any other in the marriage journey: 1) adultery 2) the "leave and cleave" command in Scripture and 3) that weddings, no matter how elaborately the ceremony is filled with beautiful words, do not a marriage make. One can be "wedded" a dozen times and never have a marriage. These three areas seem to spawn the most pain and difficulty in what marriage really is. Divorce is like a cancer and I hate it, but like cancer, it still happens I have tasted its pain and hate every part of it. God teaches us more through pain than pleasure and success. I have learned to "Dance With Broken Feet" though not without great pain. This book is meant to encourage and heal those who are going through that great pain or who have gone through the treacherous waters of divorce and are seeking answers and understanding.
