by Robert M. Webb (Author)

DE ARAGON The Chronicle of a Confederate Surgeon is the story of Major Ramon T. de Aragon, an immigrant from Cuba who settled in West Tennessee and became a regimental surgeon in the Confederate Army of Tennessee during the War Between the States. The book follows his activities from his entrance into this country through the port of New Orleans till his death in Memphis after the war.Included in this book are De Aragon's activities where they have been documented, excerpts from letters he wrote to his wife during the war, and the movements of the units in which he served, giving an overview of each battle. Battlefield maps with troop positions and photos of the leading generals give additional perspective. This has been a work of passion on my part, and I hope you enjoy this very interesting piece of history.
