by Robert L. Hiett and John M. Hiett (Author)
This book contains stories of the lives of two brothers, one born in 1943 and the other in 1946, as they navigated life in North Central Texas during the 1950s and early 1960s. The locale of the stories is Fort Worth, Texas, and the Silver Creek community in nearby Parker County. Important events include the polio epidemic as well as the drought of record in Texas during those years and the effect it had on the rural poor.
