Author Biography

Born in Paris, France, Michaël Wertenberg moved to the US as a young child where he cultivated his passion for books, notably with the works of Edgar Allen Poe and Clive Barker. It was, however, his passion for music that he would follow initially. This led him to Nashville, Tennessee. There he cut his teeth as a guitarist in recording studios playing on sessions for pop and crossover artists before moving to New York to explore the city's vibrant jazz scene. He currently resides in Budapest, Hungary with his cat, Zvyezda, where he conducts the writing workshop and puts on the comedy shows. Cecilia Kennedy earned a PhD in Spanish literature at The Ohio State University and taught English composition and Spanish language/literature in Ohio for 20 years before moving to Washington state with her family. Currently, she trains online writing tutors part-time. Her work has appeared in Maudlin House, Coffin Bell, Idle Ink, Open Minds Quarterly, Headway Quarterly, Flash Fiction Magazine, and others. The Places We Haunt (2020) is her first short story collection. Additionally, she thoroughly enjoys being an adult beverages columnist for The Daily Drunk.
