This isn't everything there is to know about dyslexia, but it is a great starting point for teen and adult students who are learning about dyslexia for the first time. As an adult literacy director, I've had many adults walk through the door who were never diagnosed. Once someone tells them what dyslexia is, what it isn't, and that they ARE able to learn, they are so relieved. If you're looking for some good material to get your student started, this is a good one for you. All proceeds from this book go directly to the Ozark Foothills Literacy Project, a nonprofit in North Central Arkansas teaching adults to read and write.
