Eddie is blown out of his next but finds comfort from his bayou animal friends such as Old Otter and Alec the Alligator. Told through soft, pastel watercolor illustrations and mixed media, bayou animals encourage Eddie not to give up hope, and to realize what is truly important in life. Inspired by true events, the book can be used as a discussion with children about any type of disaster, or simply used as a story to teach empathy, compassion, and the value of friendship.
