Paradise Ever since we were kids we have heard about it. Only there could we be happy, so we were told. Adam and Eve lost it., to their dismay and sorrow. They said it was up to us to get it back, if we could. Eden Now, life creeps forward dreary and sad and dull. We wish there could be so much more in our life. Where we could laugh and love and smile. And not have to pretend to be happy ever again. Adventure Are we doomed to sit by the fire and hear of others' tales? Is adventure and excitement only for strangers to share? Or can we, eyes piercing, fingers clenched, dare to travel beyond the horizon, to breathe the romantic air of the unknown? Love Do we really love someone who never changes? Isn't love an emotion that grows, fed by hope, fueled by adventure until together we discover an Eden to share with each other until we reach paradise? Can we really do it? You betcha

Mike Riley, in between writing books and sailing the oceans, has been a penguin breeder, a long line fisherman, a car ferry captain, a whale hunter, an industrial spy, a dolphin and sea lion collector, a microbiologist, and the CEO of husband for rent. He and his wife, Karen, live on their 41' ketch, Beau Soleil, and can be found anywhere there is blue water and a far horizon.
