Author Biography
Johann Christoph Blumhardt (1805-1880), a German pastor, is remembered to this day for his role in the extraordinary events surrounding the revival at Möttlingen, which is recounted in The Awakening, by Friedrich Zuendel.
His son,
Christoph Friedrich Blumhardt (1842-1919) influenced a generation of theologians, including Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Emil Brunner, Oscar Cullman, and Karl Barth, as well as thousands of ordinary people who traveled from all over Europe seeking healing and wholeness.
Rick Warren is a best-selling author and founding and senior pastor of Saddleback Church, now one of the largest churches in the United States.
