by Laura Emilia Pacheco (Author)

El infinito naufragio brings together poems and stories that account for the literary concerns that Jos Emilio Pacheco explored and interrogated throughout more than half a century of writing. Language, History as a figure of reverence and terror, music, nature, the human capacity for destruction, memory, shipwrecks --ancestral and ordinary-- come together in a volume that shows both the most experienced new generations of readers, that Pacheco's work is full of passion for the world and awe at its transience.
