November 1918. Germany is defeated. Fury, cast in resentment, stands beside every German. Chaos governs the streets.
Despite the confusion, Thomas and Lilli Schroeder settle in Munich with hopes for a peaceful and prosperous life for their young family.
On a visit to London, his birthplace, Thomas discovers a heritage that changes everything - he has direct matrilineal Jewish parentage - he is Jewish.
As Adolf Hitler emerges as a powerful force in German politics, the threat to Thomas' family could not be more clear. After exhaustively researching both Hitler and the Nazi Party, Thomas sets himself on a dangerous path of resistance: he joins the Nazi Party.
Is it possible for one man to set in motion a chain of events that will prevent one of the greatest tragedies of the twentieth century?
