Cindy BiggsWeiss was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and currently resides in northern Siskiyou County. She is a music teacher and librarian at a rural-three room school. She lives with her husband on their 300 acre land preserve, Bluestone, where they offer workshops on sustainable living and no-till gardening. Mrs. BiggsWeiss wrote Escape! as an effort to make the Holocaust more real for her students.
