This is a book of things that I wish I had been taught at a much younger age than I finally learned them. I do mean to say taught, instead of just simply told in passing, as there is a difference. Often just hearing it said is not the same as being taught it, just as you can know something without understanding it. Some of us do not have the advantage of having parents or teachers who know the things that will help us move from being in poverty to being able to provide for ourselves and navigate the system successfully. This book seeks to help fill in potential gaps.
