This text seeks to inform, empower, and provide a voice to all faculty of color. This book will offer a vivid account of the lived experiences of faculty of color in academia. The editors believe these collective experiences will serve to provide resources, such as support, encouragement, and a sense of community to other faculty of color.

Author Biography

Karen Harris Brown, Ph.D. (University of South Florida), CCC-SLP is an associate professor of speech-language pathology at the University of West Georgia. Patricia Alvarez McHatton is Associate Dean for Teacher Education at the University of Missouri at Kansas City. She received her Ph.D. from the University of South Florida. Michelle Frazier Trotman Scott is an associate professor at the University of West Georgia. She teaches in the area of Special Education within the Department of Clinical and Professional Studies.
