My mother in law, Alice Olivier Negrotto, was a master Grapho-analyist, entered and won the Pillsbury back off with her Lemon Mardi Gras Squares in 1952, radio personality, and author of Favorite Foods of Famous People. She was pressured by friends and family to go after her dream of writing and contacting famous people and asking for their favorite foods and signing the letters.For nearly two decades she acquired quite a list of notable people who wrote, and sent letters and signatures with recipes. The book was published "Favorite Foods of Famous People." Too many to list but some of them was a 5 page handwritten letter from Louis Armstrong, Mamie Eisenhower, Paul Newman, Astronaut John Glenn, Chet Huntley, Dizzy Dean, George Burns, Mohammad Ali, Wernher von Braun, Edwin Aldrin Bess Truman, Senator, Mike Mansfield, Pres and Mrs Nixon, Paul Newman, Pete Fountain, Dr. Norman Vincent Peale, Norman Rockwell, V.P. Spiro Agnew, Senator Everett Dirkson, Jimmy Durante, Dr. Joyce Brothers, Bob Hope. Benny Goodman, Alfred Hitchcock, George Burns, Paul Harvey, Eleanor Roosevelt, Mamie Eisenhower and many more.

Author Biography

Author Alice Olivier Negrotto, was a Master Grapho-analyist which led her to writing letters to famous people and asking for their recipes and signatures. She did commercials on WDSU-TV. She entered and won the Pillsbury Bakeoff in 1952 at the Waldorf Astoria for her Lemon Mardi Gras Squares. For nearly two decades she wrote and received letters from these famous people with their signatures and kept them in impeccable care with preserving these letters Our hope is that others will enjoy them as much as we do. The recipes are somewhat unusual and tasty.
