A day outing had been Gram and Lily's idea, a diversion to bring them together, a bonding of sorts, and it had seemed extremely important-vital, in fact-at the planning stage, although Chime couldn't quite remember why. Gram knew that this morning he was logical and reasonable, and in control. And now . . . now he feels like he's losing himself. Lily didn't want to admit a brush with the same sensation. She shrugged his hand away. "Don't you find it odd that none of us can remember where we were supposed to go next? On a day that we planned months ago?"
