Author Biography
Amy Hite is a guitarist from Southern California. She holds a Masters Degree in Classical Guitar Performance from California State University, Fullerton, where she studied under David Grimes. Amy has performed concerts as a soloist and with various chamber groups at local universities, libraries, and music societies. She was a member of the Fullerton Guitar Orchestra from 2006-2010, during which they performed throughout California and on a three-week tour of Bulgaria, which culminated with a concert at the U.S. Embassy in Sofia. Amy has released three albums, Classical Guitar Christmas (guitar solos), Classic Guitar Wedding (guitar solos and flute & guitar duets), and The Nutcracker Suite (with the Campanella Guitar Quartet), all which are available on iTunes and CDBaby. She teaches private guitar lessons in Orange County, at her home in Riverside, and at Riverside City College. In addition to teaching the guitar, she is currently training to become a teacher of the Alexander Technique with the Alexander Alliance.
