by Monette O. Pangan (Illustrator), Laurel a. Heger (Author)
On a walk through the woods, with the frosty wind a-blow, amid the last of the berries and the first coming snow, a voice cries out from the bough of a tree, "Whoooo cooks for you? Will you please cook for me? "
Author Biography
The Author grew up in Minnesota. She loved reading and spent many hours immersed in books as a youngster. Laurel truly believes in and tries to write from the dictum of E.B. White... "Anyone who writes down to children is simply wasting his time. You have to write up, not down. Children are demanding. They are the most attentive, curious, eager, observant, sensitive, quick, and generally congenial readers on earth. They accept, almost without question, anything you present them with, as long as it is presented honestly, fearlessly, and clearly." Today she makes her home in the pacific Northwest.
