by Harold Myra (Author)
Often we celebrate King David as a "man after God's own heart," and he was that, but his spiritual successes sat side by side with anxiety, desperation, crushing sinfulness, and repentance. Harold Myra brings you alongside David to pray through the songs of David's heart. This journey reveals how you too can bring your difficulties and celebrations to God in prayer.

I call out to the Lord, and he answers me. --David (Psalm 3:4 NIV)
Pray through 40 psalms of David and learn to cry out to God with the anxieties, challenges, and triumphs in your own life.
Often we celebrate King David as a "man after God's own heart," and he was that. But his spiritual successes sat side by side with anxiety, desperation, tragic wrongdoing, and brokenness . . . Just like our own spiritual highs and lows.
In four sections of ten psalms each, Harold Myra leads us through David's victories as a young adult, the challenges of his early kingship, his sinful downfall and repentance, and the lasting consequences of his pride and injustice. You'll pray through the songs of David's questioning and contrite heart, and you'll make them your own.
