James Still was born in 1812 a free man to Levin and Charity Still, former slaves whom had made their way to New Jersey. James Still realized his dream to become a doctor and with that, he started his journey through good and bad to become a Herbalist Doctor. This is his story.
Author Biography
Loisann Griglak is a retired librarian and archivist. After retirement, she started illustrating books, including "The Happy Cow", "Mr. Slug's Breakfast" and more. Loisann now adds to her list of accomplishments with her new book "From Nothing to Something: The Life Story of Dr. James Still" Enjoy the journey of one of America's first African American herbalist doctors.
