As most good stories, this one originates from life experience. It is about my challenge to explain one of the hardest things we as parents have to deal with talking to our kids about, death. One day my girls were playing on the front porch with fireflies when my daughter noticed that one of their lights was starting to dim. In a panic she hollered for me to get more batteries. What started out as funny quickly turned into a life or death teaching moment for the soul.
