This book is a geologic guide of the historic diggings along Gold Creek. The district encompasses about 80 square miles on the southwestern side of Dear Lodge Valley in Montana. Lots of placer gold has been and is still being mined in this district today. Because of its large area and the Glacial redistribution of much of the material gold can be found throughout the area.
