The author has incorporated counting and colors as well as rhymes and questions to inspire the learning process. Cali, the calico cat, appears somewhere on each page, making it a fun challenge for the young reader to find her. The book is unique, educational, interactive, and entertaining.

Author Biography

Jim Grainger was born and raised in the hills of Missouri. He helped his father on the farm until he was called to serve his country in the U.S. Army during WW2. After his discharge, he moved to Kansas where he currently resides with his wife, Beth, and dog, Dolly. He spent many years as an Auto Body Technician. During this time he and his brother invented a unique tool and got a patent. In retirement he drove a school bus. He has one son, David, and two granddaughters, Meagan and Emily. Jim has enjoyed writing poetry for several years. However, at the age of 91, he decided to write an ABC Book for children. He is currently working on his second book, which will feature his dog, Dolly.
