by Don Holley (Author)

"Half Loaded" is the funny, poignant, and utterly strange memoir written by the twisted mind behind one of cult comedy's favorite films-"National Lampoon's Loaded Weapon 1."Take a hilarious trip down memory lane with erstwhile screenwriter Don Holley as he bravely shares his stoic contemporary Quaker childhood as a serial puker, his brushes with celebrities like Sean Penn, Jerry Seinfeld and Carol Burnett, and his seemingly never-ending troubles with mopeds and the IRS, on this wildly unlikely odyssey from obscurity to success and back again.Holley's memoir vividly illustrates the popular expression "You can't make this s**t up "

Author Biography

Don Holley is a Californian, born and raised. But don't hold it against him. Born in Los Angeles, he spent the majority of his formative years in the San Francisco Bay area, where he currently resides. Don graduated from UCLA's film school in 1984, where he not only acquired a following for his weekly humor column in the UCLA Daily Bruin newspaper as both a student and alumnus, but also co-authored the new UCLA fight song which was officially inaugurated in the Fall of 1984. In 1989 Don sold a Cop Buddy Lampoon to Walt Disney Pictures which not long thereafter became New Line Cinema's cult classic, "National Lampoon's Loaded Weapon 1."
