In the early 1920's California saw a sudden explosionof new religious thought sweeping the populace. Peoplehad begun to seek new beliefs systems to help them tryto understand the world around them and all of the newchanges happening through technological advances andpolitics. Most of these new religious movements werebenign, if a bit on the bizarre side. Unfortunately somewere not so harmless and their main mission was not tosave souls, but to fleece others out of as much of theirsavings as they could. The Divine Order of the Royal Arms of the Great Eleven was one such cult, lead bythe guileful and greedy May Otis Blackburn and herdaughter, Ruth Angeline Wieland. The story of this culthas been told a multitude of times. This book is focused onlearning more about who the members were and whathappened to them after the cult broke up. I will presentmy findings of a few mysteries as well and share somenever before released information.
