Margaret Sinclair is in her mid-thirties, divorced and working in property sales on Tenerife. Only a few weeks ago, she left wintry Glasgow to make a new life in the Canary Isles. But she's as unhappy as she ever was, until she meets Luis, a musician from the neighbouring island of La Gomera.
He plays the guitar in the bar where the property crowd spend their evenings, but all his energy is focused on realising a cherished ambition on the beautiful island where he was born.
Until the lightning strike of love at first sight interrupts his plans.
From novelist and award winning playwright, Catherine Czerkawska, Hera's Orchard asks if Luis and Margaret can achieve a lasting relationship - or will the cultural divide between them prove to be just too wide ?
