Hope: The Strongest Motivation, is a review of the motivational tools used in the Old and New Testaments to motivate and inspire. From the very beginning of Genesis in the Old Testament to Revelations in the New Testament, Mike Payton takes a verse from each chapter of the Bible and elaborates on a particular motivational strategy by applying it to modern day life. While not a book persuading a particular religion or way of worship, "Hope: the Strongest Motivation," does emphasize through the different ages, both B.C. and A.C., that hope was and still is the strongest motivating source for mankind. As to whether the reader agrees or disagrees with the opinions presented is not as important as understanding that regardless of how desperate your life may become, whatever crisis you may be going through, or the realization of challenges yet to come, hope is the one consistent motivational force that can keep you going. The reader is also left to his or her own opinions on where hope originates: God, science, a higher power, etc. Should "Hope: the Strongest Motivation," cause the reader to realize the importance and power of hope in our lives, then the goal of the writer is achieved.
