The Giver meets Fahrenheit 451 in a fun middle grade dystopian novel.
Hoverboards are cool. Gaming is fun. But what if that's all you had?
Twelve-year-old Blythe is restless, and she doesn't know why until one day she finds a mysterious black-and-white sphere. Suddenly, a new world opens up to her-a world that involves walking, running, and a fun game called soccer.
There's one problem. Walking and sports were banned sixty years ago, and the powerful commander relentlessly enforces the country's rules. But Blythe is done with conforming, and she drags her apprehensive twin brother and their quirky grandma on the race of their lives.
Can they unlock the joy of sport and spread it throughout their country, or will the commander continue her oppressive reign?
