Author Biography
Leah Day is an online quilting instructor and the creator of the Free Motion Quilting Project blog, where she shares hundreds of videos with millions of viewers each year. Leah grew up with quilts on her beds at home, and always wanted to learn how to piece and quilt as a child. Unfortunately all the fabric stores in her area were closing and with nowhere to learn, Leah wasn't able to start quilting until 2005 when she was 21 years old. By joining a guild, Leah was able to learn from workshops, books, and other members and quickly began to build skill with quilt piecing, applique, and machine quilting. In 2009, Leah wanted to become a teacher, but with a 2 year old baby at home, she didn't want to travel far from home. Instead Leah has focused on teaching online via YouTube videos and Craftsy classes. Find many more books, DVDs, and patterns by Leah Day at www.LeahDay.com
