Terry Jones is a deputy sheriff for the Harris County Sheriff's Department. He separates from his wife, Wanda, believing that his freedom is what's best for the both of them. During his separation Terry finds it difficult to shake his guilt for having affairs while married to Wanda and leaving her for his own selfish reasons. His guilt keeps haunting him as he goes each day with Wanda constantly on his mind. Meanwhile, Terry is confronted with another problem as he and his neighbor, Sharon, start to have feelings for each other. Sharon has a hidden crush on Terry and the feelings start to flow after she and Terry return to her apartment. Terry's world begin to fall apart as he discovers Wanda's new relationship with Michael. Michael is a doctor who has begun to sweep Wanda off her feet. The more Terry tries to show his sorrow and regret for leaving Wanda, the more she pushes him away. After giving Michael a chance, Wanda flashes her new attitude and began to free herself form the hold Terry has on her.
