Have you ever played the game where you stand in front of someone who you really trust and they tell you, "OK, you can just fall backward and I promise I got you. I won't let you fall"? Well, I imagine that's how our loved ones feel when something happens to them that is out of their control. They need someone who will stand behind them as they are falling, someone whom they trust that will be there for them until the end. I created this book to help ease the impact of the fall. One thing for sure is that everyone experienced a fall at one time or another, but being prepared is half the battle. After going through a traumatic experience and almost losing my son following a motor vehicle accident on Mothers' Day 2016, I have learned firsthand what all of my patients and their families have experienced, so I decided to do what I do best, which is taking care of people. By writing this book, I am trying to tell my brothers and sisters, "I got you." To God be the glory. Amen.
