She received her degree at the State University of New York at Buffalo - UB. Most of her career was in school based therapy which inspired her to write her first book, I Saw Leaves Last Night. Her other three books, A Walk in the Woods, I've Got to Move and Road Trip are reflective of life events with various special needs.
