This collection of poems is an exploration of life and relationships in the midst of discovering traumatic repressed memories of childhood sexual abuse. It is a mosaic of what it looks like to imperfectly navigate reclaiming life, healing relationships, and trying to break out of cycles of trauma. It explores holding space for feelings of betrayal and anger, while holding compassion and attempting forgiveness. It demonstrates what it's like to have to pendulate between inner child work and washing the dishes. Above all it is about unearthing a sense of self beyond the pain and the trauma responses that complicate our lives and relationships.
