David Francis Sullivan spent forty-four wonderful years with his childhood sweetheart before she died when he was sixty-four. The grief and love that poured out of his heart inspired him to write If I Feel This Way. Through his poetry, Sullivan honored his late wife and worked his way through his grief.
Now, Sullivan is engaged to Linda, who encouraged his creativity and the publication of his collection. Linda has been his inspiration for a number of the poems.
