Rich Halvey has been writing since he was in high school. Before his retirement from his regular job, he was praised for his ability to write on a variety of subjects, including the improvement of air quality in the West and promoting the development of clean energy sources. The Pinboys series was his first attempt at writing fiction. He has published dozens of articles covering his favorite pastime, thoroughbred horse racing, and hopes to do a book about making racing more popular.
