In Our Skin - Hardcover

by Shellon Pagnotta (Author)

For those parents unsure of how to begin the ever-important conversation of race, acceptance, and understanding with their children, this book is the perfect first step. A short, yet poetic story, that follows Anthony and Giovanni, fraternal twins with a myriad of differences. As they begin to notice their differences, skin color, hair texture, in their likes and dislikes, they pose questions to their parents. Questions that all children come to have in the early years of their lives. They learn a very important lesson: that though they may be different, they are loved the same, and no matter what, it is what is on the inside that is important. Through beautiful illustrations and easy-to-read prose, this fantastic children's book assists in teaching kids lessons that they will carry with them for the rest of their lives.
