In South Asia the irrational use of antibiotics prevails widely, which does not only increase the burden on the patient pockets but also is the major contributing factor for the development of antimicrobial resistance in this part of the world. In this book we have tried to measure the practices employed by doctors in prescribing different antibiotics with the help of a survey from the major institutes/Hospitals of Karachi.
