Brene Brown said it best, "Connection is why we're here; it is what gives purpose and meaning to our lives." I don't know how I went from literally feeling like I'm flying high in the sky to being emotionally numb, but it's scary to think that part of you, that part that makes you feel human, has completely subsided. It's those rich emotions that make us feel most alive. The possibility of love, intimacy, friendship, adventure, and so much more. My poems touch on the dry areas of my life as well as the most memorable moments, and the things I've hoped for.
